Aa new wave of AI meets with multimedia computing, cross-media analysis and reasoning (also called inference) is drawing great attention, and becoming a promissing direction for Artificial Intelligence and Mulitimed Computing. In this talk, I will explore technical insights and present the advances, challenges and future directions in cross-media analysis and reasoning. Specifically, I will present (i) the theory and model of cross-media representation, (ii) cross-media correlation understanding and deep mining, (iii) cross-media knowledge graph and learning, and (iv) cross-media knowledge evolution and reasoning.
